Elk River Falls, also known as Big Falls, is located in Elk Park, NC and is a must see. It is a very short hike from the easily accessible parking area. The waterfall is around 50 feet tall and creates a large pool. The short trail brings you out at the top of the waterfall which is uncommon for most area waterfalls.
